Reflection

There are many things to run from, many things to ignore- but your calling shouldn’t be one of them. For over a year now, I’ve been deeply mourning elements of the woman I was. The free-thinking, creative, inspiring writer; the free-feeling awe-struck photographer; the free-flowing, unapologetic speaker. I missed being… free. At some point, I allowed myself to be bound by the chains of comparison. We don’t talk enough about the detrimental effects of it and how it can derail your life. This is also why it’s important to align yourself with correct individuals- because insecurities have a heavy recruit, building an army of the spiritually disabled.

Imagine the crippling feeling of knowing where you could be, how you could be, and what you could be. For some, you won’t have to imagine it because you’ve lived it, you’ve been there. 

And like me, you’ve broken free and came back to yourself.

Thank God 

It took a while, but after much reflection this is what I realize: 

Having been created by the greatest artist of all time, I'm humble to be who I am. Every breath I take, every word written, every moment seized is ensured for the makings of HIS masterpiece. He perfectly crafted my mind into operation: my eyes capture the simplest moments at the most amazing angles, esteems are lifted through conversation and acts of service, words are beautifully and effectively woven together - not for my benefit, but for the edification of others.

I was creatively brought into existence as an arrow pointing towards purposeful existence for you. 

My life is a mirror of the love and art of God. 

That's who I am.
